''We're all unique, why try and be someone else when you're already good at being you? You can take as many detours in life, trying to find out who you are, but the important thing is that you'll get there in the end, and even then it'll just be the beginning of something great''

My name is Danielle "Denquar" Chupak and I was born in Hong Kong on the 27th of April, 1992 to a Thai father and British mother. Having a musician as a father, music was introduced to me very early on and is still a huge part of my identity.

After spending a just a few early years in Phuket my mother and I finally moved backed to Hong Kong for a better life. Denquar 'แตงกวา' which in Thai means "Cucumber" has always been my nickname whilst growing and I still use it. I spent most of my education in local Chinese schools and can still speak quite a bit of Cantonese as well as Thai. In fact I even have a Chinese name; 鄧麗雲. named after the late Teresa Tang, a famous chinese singer.

As a young child, growing up on Lantau Island in HK, I had a very free life, memories of me and my friends riding our bikes and getting our feet sandy were one of the best times ever and allowed to me develope a good attitude about the world.

My dad passed away when I was 10, though I was still quite young, it made me realize just how short life is and why I should achieve anything I put my heart to as much as possible. It didn't stop me from singing and dancing and always putting on a show where ever I went. Luckily, my mum was always very supportive of my dreams and reoognized my love and passion for music. She always allowed me to continue growing and taught me to fight for what I want, and for that, I couldn't have a better mum.

I attended training in Musical Theatre at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and was offered a job at Hong Kong Disneyland as a vocalist soon after graduation.

At 18, I was already fronting a big Disney stage show, the Golden Mickeys. I played a "reporter turned princess" main character, Bebe. They were the most amazing two years of my life and gave me an even more burning passion to pursue further.

After two years at the magical Kingdom, I went on to discovering other styles of music and since then pursued my own style and interpertations in Soul and Jazz aswell as continue Musical Theatre. I moved to London in 2014 and have finally began to find my feet. I signed with agent and mentor Philip Foster who recognized my potential and has been dedicated to pushing me to greatness.

I get asked a lot as to who I am as an artist. Musical Theatre being a huge part of my training and discpline yet I choose to write and record my own Soul and Jazz album aswell. To be honest, my answer is that life is just too short. I enjoy the challenge and thrill of the unknown and if I route myself down to one single path, I will just never know.
